"Happy New In Here!"

When I went in to get Ethne up this morning the first thing she said to me was "mom, happy new in he-uh?(here)"
I thought she said happy new year and I said yes it's a happy new year. She was excited, grabbed my finger and walked me into the living room asking "Happy New in He-uh?"

It wasn't until after breakfast that she got up in my face and I realized what she was asking. She had been confused by all the Happy New Year talk a few days ago and she wanted to know just exactly what was happy and new in here? I haven't been able to get her to understand what I am saying and what it means :)
