The color of the eggs was of course very important to both boys. Enoch's favorite color is Green and Ezra, so he doesn't feel left out, always wants Green too.
After the dying they put clothes back on and did shrink wraps that had little reminders about the true meaning of Easter. Thank you Gwenn for getting those.
Ready to hunt eggs in the yard. Both boys were chomping at the bit waiting for the OK to run out and hunt.
Here we go! Who will find the first egg??
It looks like a pretty even race here, but the reality was that Ezra could spot them just fine but he always announced it loudly and Enoch would often beat him to the egg. Mom had to even out the baskets a little after the race. Good thing the boys know nothing about it.
Easter Sunday morning at CA Grandparents (that is what Enoch and Ezra call Darryl and Gwenn). You can't see it but Ezra was cleaning up the money he found in all his eggs. He made a whopping $2.50.
Enoch checking to see that no one stole his eggs. Enoch didn't want to eat any candy or take out any of the money or stickers in his eggs because he didn't want ANY empty eggs. When he finally took something out of an egg he would put something else in it so it wouldn't be empty. Ezra on the other hand had to be restrained from eating everything in one sitting. He was bouncing off the walls.
New Easter baskets from the Easter bunny filled with wonderful surprises. Veggie Tales movies, new sandals, paints and brushes, candy, stickers, shields w/Lions, and many other exciting gifts inside. Enoch's basket was the house on the left and Ezra's the little bunny car on the right. I love fabric baskets-so soft and sweet.
Enoch was very excited about the egg shaped sidewalk chalk but CA Grandpa was NOT excited for his driveway to become the Cysteine Chapel. I told him this was how Michael Angelo's were made but that didn't seem to help. Sorry Grandpa-maybe it will rain.
Ezra was MOST excited about the bug shaped Lindt Chocolates. They lady bug and bee were gone very quickly. The shield was probably his next favorite. Great Easter! Thank you CA Grandparents for letting us come and spend it at your house. We had a blast!

This was Enoch arranging Ezra in the Tomb.
