Advice from Stake President

When G and I were going to be married and we were meeting with our church leader to talk about it he told Garrett- "Always be a shoulder to cry on for your wife. She is going to need it a lot and...
you make sure you always provide it for her." I thought that was the weirdest comment and pondered- I wonder if he tells all couples this. I am not a crier-I almost never cry-Little did I know then. I'll tell you what, from the time that first baby came I have used that shoulder more times than I can count. I thank my Father in Heaven that I married such a good man who has always provided a place for my head, heart and tears.

Cooking Club #2 Indian Curry

Our Indian night cooking club taught by the wonderful Melisa Jassar. She was so busy being a bishops wife, mother of three children and a whole lot more but she was so nice to come and teach our cooking club.
She taught us to make an Indian curry and Samosas. They were delicious and we all had a great time learning how to make them all. Melissa was a great teacher and we all took detailed  notes so we could reproduce the recipes on our own later.
Great group of people.

beautiful faces

The beginning of the curry-onions and spices in Olive oil
Lots of spices
The insides of the samosas
Just to be quick we used puff pastry from the frozen section of the grocery store(can't really get the same stuff in the USA).
Just cut it into circles and fill, close, and bake. Great food, great company and great teacher. Thank you ladies for always coming and cooking with me. Great memories.

Valentine's Day 2013

This Valentine's Day I decided to make special things for my family. We had a great day started off with cards and presents from mom to everyone else. The kids also made Valentine's Day cards for everyone as well. Family and friends. They had a lot of fun and made some giant messes doing it.

Ethne's cute card. She loved it so very much.
Enoch's upper left, Ethne's on the right and Ezra's in front
Ezra's card
Garrett's Valentine was his very first box of Crio Bru. It was love at first drink.

Enoch's card from his mommy
And we have been drinking this yummy stuff ever since. It's amazing.

Power House Museum

We have heard so many wonderful things about the Power House Museum. We came to check out all the hype and it was absolutely as wonderful as we thought it would be.  We just so happened to come on a very special day.
It was the Giant Lego exhibit
This bridge is made entirely out of legos and has moving vehicles going around it.
Very tall Lego buildings
Lego space center

Sailors come to town
Lots of Star Wars Legos around here
This NASA space shuttle was amazing. and so very very tall
We saw a violin exhibit, a Muslim woman fashion exhibit, some art exhibits, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe Movie exhibit etc... and then...the wiggles.
We took these pictures in here all for my nephew Isaac because he loves the wiggles so much.
Dorothy the dinosaur
Ethne made a friend and drank tea with him in Dorothy the dinosaurs house
Isaac, Uncle Garrett is listening to one of the wiggles on the other end of that phone.

Good Times

Sure had a great time
Walking to the museum was an adventure all by itself.
It was cold and rainy

At the bus stop across from the train station on the way home. It was late and a very long day but we had so much fun.
