The Car we rented. We drove a ways down to the edge of AU to get the ferry over to KI.
The drive was beautiful. The scenery was so very different from what we see here in Sydney. Both are beautiful, but I am so glad we got to see both South Australia and New South Wales. They are great places.
Lots of things like this-but there were tons of Kangaroos just grazing. We drove down at dusk after G got off work that day and it was so fun and so new to see Kangaroos instead of deer coming out for the night.
This was a dirt road on KI. Only the main roads are actually paved and then there are a lot of dirt roads for places off the main path :)
This was on the night we got back on the ferry to go home from KI. We got back to that area early and so we went to a beach by the ferry until it was time to load up.
Garrett felt very sentimental standing on that beach and looking out. He said we will most likely NEVER be back here in our lives again. I thought about that and said well you never know. But he said really? I don't think we will ever be back. It will be like NZ when we say well we have been there already so do we want to go some place new??
I figure he is probably right and most likely we will never be on Kangaroo Island again, but we have great pictures and great memories of being there and we had LOADS of fun with our kids!!

Entertainment on the 45min ferry ride home. We were hoping they would sleep but there were tv's everywhere playing stupid shows we didn't want them to watch so we gave them our devices to keep them busy.
